Isn't she lovely?
I bought season 3 of Weeds about a week ago and I've just got time to watch it over the weekend. My favorite TV show full of great writings and quotes. I managed to watch the whole season in one seating and had a really good time doing it.
If you have never seen this show before, it is about Nancy Botwin whose husband had a heart attack and dropped dead. Leaving her with 2 kids and not a lot of money to maintain her lifestyle in a gated community. So through her brother-in-law's friend, Conrad, she started to sell Marijuana to support her family.
While in the Marijuana business, she get training by her supplier, Conrad and his aunt Heylia, which are very knowledgeable about the business and have a gangster mentality. Conrad is a grower, and through chance, expanded Nancy's business tremendously. Nancy's obviously in way over her head, with her business and nosy neighbors, who knew suburbia can be so much fun? It is amazing to watch how Nancy Botwin uses her looks and charms to get what she wants. It's a modern day femme fatale story.
I've forced some friends to watch the show and they couldn't believe how hilarious it is, so go out and rent it if you can or just watch it on YouTube. The suburban baroness of Bud returns tonight for another new season of Weeds. Excited, yes! Subscribing to Showtime just for it? Perhaps not, not until it's near the end of the season at least, then I can watch the whole thing On Demand all at once and unsubscribe afterwards. I'm cheap, I know. Now if Dexter and Weeds come back in the same time, then it's a different story but I think Dexter got picked up by Fox or CBS, well, we'll see.
Oh and there's also a photohunt game if you want to kill some time.
If not for anything else, Silas Botwin aka Hunter Parrish should be a good enough reason to watch.
