That's What I Keep Telling Myself

I hate sounding like Debbie Downer but I'm getting tired of random hookups, I guess I should have listened to this teenage Asian queen sooner.

Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.
The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.
The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.
I hate sounding like Debbie Downer but I'm getting tired of random hookups, I guess I should have listened to this teenage Asian queen sooner.
Saw this video inspired by Dr. Seuss and Burning Man. A friend goes to Burning Man every year and even though I've heard good things, I've never truly understood what Burning Man is. I think after watching this, I'd be inclined to go if I ever get a chance.
Read more...Can't believe I haven't shared this with you all before but seeing Silence of the Lamb on TV last night reminded me of this great musical number from Silence! The Musical. The below video is brilliantly in Lego form which is a bonus.
For details of the musical, please visit Jon and Al.
Other than that, I'm sure the witch's face and her words will haunt me forever:
Need I say more?
Ed Hardy T-Shirt +10 pts Charisma.
Well I do like hair on a muscle chest so I'm a little against the shaving part, but it is an amazing chest and with that deep frat boy voice narrating the whole action is quite sexy. Yum!
The first time I ate in a Chinese restaurant in the States for the first time, I think I was baffled at the silly cookie and the bullshit unfounded superstition it spewed, but after knowing the culture associated with it and the "...in bed" gag, I started liking it. I especially like the ones with orange flavoring and the chocolate dipped ones.
And some of the worst driving I've seen:
I wonder if it's luckier to escape certain disaster or luckier if you don't put yourself in those situation. Living your life in the edge must be a lot more exciting though.
Given the potential harm of anal douching, I don't know what to make of this. I mean is this really art? How is that different than using a water gun? I guess the process is art in itself and the buyer will be some guys with a certain fetish. But(t) how does this have anything to do with Zune?
Speaking of things squirting out of a butt, the boyfriend, two of his friends and I have embarked on a ten-days diet. For ten days, we won't be eating anything but a lemon-maple syrup concoction. It's called the master cleanse diet which is essentially a fast. Anytime I feel hungry, I'll have to mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup with water and a dash of (yummy) cayenne pepper. Since each glass is roughly 100 calories a day, having about 6 glass will make the grand total at about 600 calories, it's under one-third of the normal daily intake. There's also laxatives and a nightly salt water flush solutions that helps with the daily body functions and I'm also taking a daily vitamin and mineral supplements. Is it healthy? Absolutely not, but a skinny friend did this for 10 days and lost 16 pounds and I'm almost twice his size so I'm hoping for more. Don't worry, I'll bail if I feel I can't make it.
Obviously not eating food makes it that much more tempting, day-to-day I'll have to avoid watching Food Network and food blogs but I refuse to change my walking routes so I could avoid passing by popular eateries. It's not after a whole day of not eating did I notice how many food commercials there is on TV. Only one day and it's already driving me a bit crazy. So far my cravings include a slice of pizza, homemade siu mais, beef, roast pig from a certain Jose Garces restaurant and sushi buffet at another establishment 10 minutes from Philly. Basically everything and anything. Hope the 10 days goes by faster.
Auto-Tune The News has outdone themselves with this Antoine Dodson remix. I have heard it a lot of this song last year, the boyfriend and his friends have also been crazy about this song which caused me to hear it a few times and singing it now, non-stop. This song is not available for purchase on iTunes with the proceed going to the Auto-Tune the News folks (The Gregory Brothers) and the performer Antoine Dodson.
Auto-Tune The News has also came up with another charming little diddy called the Backin Up Song, which can be found here, hopefully it can push out the Bed Intruder Song from my head soon.
Bed Intruder Song
he's climbin in your windows
he's snatchin your people up
tryna rape em so y'all need to
hide your kids, hide your wife
hide your kids, hide your wife
hide your kids, hide your wife
and hide your husband
cuz they're rapin errbody out here
you don't have to come and confess
we're lookin for you
we gon find you
we gon find you
so you can run and tell that,
run and tell that
run and tell that, homeboy
home, home, homeboy
we got your t-shirt

you are so dumb
you are really dumb--for real
you are really, really, really, really so dumb
i was attacked by some idiot in the projects
so dumb, so dumb, so dumb, so
chorus
bout 5'9", 5'10"
coffee complexion, low cut like a caesar
with some little waves in his head
clean cut, very smooth face
seein my sister when i walked in
he had his hands around her neck
first thing was to pull him off of her
and that's what i did
chorus
well, obviously we have a rapist in Lincoln Park
are you serious, my boy?
i got your t-shirt
i got your scent
i know what shoe size you wear, my boy
so you can run and hide
but we're gonna find you, find you
Saw this clip at Erik's blog weeks back and it is quite disturbing indeed. It started out slowly, but it picks up quick.
Sixty-five years ago in the beginning of August, two nuclear bomb were detonated in Japan and since then the amount of bomb tested every year is mind boggling. At some point in the video it turns into cockfight between two countries and at others, the sounds of explosion between different countries and time passed turned into an electronica symphony. It makes you wonder why all these tests when none were used in actual war. How much money can be saved if we just stick to one formula and stop all the testing.
I can't imagine that all the nuclear bomb tests did not impact the earth one bit. Couldn't it be one of the factors of global warming? Earthquakes? Do all the radiation created really affect no one?
One sign of global warming being true is that an ice glacier sheet four times the size of Manhattan nicknamed the "ice island" has just collapsed and broke off the Petermann Glacier 620 miles South of the North Pole, west of Greenland.
It's a very funny video done by a comedienne. Okrrr...?
The latest Sherry Vine parody to Lady Gaga's Alejandro:
And That's Gay "No Homo" installment:
Argentina is at its dawn to legalize same sex marriage, I've nothing against Argentina and I'm actually quite fond of it but to have Argentina more progressive than United States puts a little damper to the so-called "Land of the Free". The Argentinean economy is pretty much the pits of the world but yet they can afford to put it aside and make a giant step in civil rights proves that it can be done if their leaders put their hearts into it. You can't get more religious than their countrymen so I wonder if we can borrow a page in separating Church and State.
We have to tell ourselves that we are making progress, albeit the almost daily news of fag-bashing and harassment our people suffer. Less stop calling fag-bashings anti-gay assaults or hate crimes, political correct terms cannot accurately describe the degree of passion behind the crime. The most outrageous thing is for the attacker to receive light sentences while almost killing the person they attacked while the religious right claimed that the gays are equally violent towards them. When's the last time any one of them got beaten down and sent to the hospital? When's the last time one of them got killed?
I'm not advocating for murder, though I do believe some showing that we're not weak might help ceasing some violence towards gays. Take the National Organization for Marriage's bus tour for example, they are touring the country promoting their hate towards gays and gay marriage. Luckily they had the wit to avoid major blue states cities, if they had the gall to come to Philadelphia or New York, gays might surround their vans and give them a piece of their minds. Like this.
Until this day, I'm still astonished of people who's against my existence and thinking they have a say on what I can or cannot do. How superior does one have to feel before they think they can control the behavior of other people? Where would these people be without the gays?
If yesterday's RoboGeisha video or my past posts didn't give you a hint on how crazy Japan as a country is, allow me to present you with further evidence.
Exhibit A - Setting your face up with electric pulse, so it would tweak to music.
Exhibit B - They think this commercial will help them sell sushi.
Exhibit C - If you're happy and you know it clap your... whuut?
Exhibit D - There's idea of humor is too elaborate
Exhibit E - This... (The best part starts around 1:53)
Exhibit F - This is just plain stupid, lol.

This is the counter point from the HTC Evo vs iPhone 4 clips 2 days ago, done by the very same guy.
This one is about information in general. I do think after the internet is popularized, people had been bombarded and desensitized about information. When information is that overwhelming, it's devalued.
The following clip impresses me the most. Smart and compact furniture for the future.
Have a happy 4th!
Before I left for US some ten years ago, we had a new Newspaper in Hong Kong called Apple Daily. Since all the other newspapers have been publishing for eons, Apple Daily had garnered a lot of young readers and have been regarded as more progressive on the news reporting end. It got so successful that they started publishing in Taiwan as well. When I first come to the states, I still read about news in Hong Kong through their online newspaper. Until they wanted me to pay, that is.
I actually haven't revisited their site until recently when their reenactment animation of the Tiger Woods incident got world famous. It's not like everyone understand Chinese but the animation is fun to watch just as well.
This little clip got 2.5 million views and probably encouraged the company to produce a lot more animations. In fact when I check their site right now they seemed to have animation for every news item. The following one is the animation on the incident between Team Coco and Team Leno.
And then the below one is the latest one on Al Gore and the masseuse. The problem with these clips is that they are all allegations and not proven facts and somehow seeing it on "tape" make it look very much more believable. There's a clip on the site about a coach molesting a 12 year old student, without knowing if it actually happened, it looks like it did after viewing the video. Of course, it is all sensational news and the paper is just trying to make a name for itself and expand its audience base but morally, I'm very sure it's wrong.

President Obama has been criticized for not taking the leader role and having concrete solutions during his presidential address on the BP oil spill this past Tuesday. I haven't seen it, so I guess I can't give an opinion. We are all quite frustrated in the helplessness of the situation. It seems like nobody has a solution for the oil spill, which is now on day 60. Adding to it, journalists are still getting harassed for getting close to the shoreline by BP employees and it just generate that much more bad feeling.
A deal has been negotiated between the White House and BP CEO Tony Hayward to establish a $20 billion compensation fund for the victims of the oil spill, which does not include the cost for cleaning up the spill. To show how extreme Republicans are, here's Shameless Stupid Asshole Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) apologizing to the CEO of BP for "shaking them down". Even though it's unbearable to watch, I hope the people of Texas who's affected by the oil spill can see who is representing them in Congress. Let's find out aside from his hate for a black guy to be president, how much contribution he's getting from the oil industry.
On the subject of politics, there are people who sides with Republicans, there are people who sides with the teabagger/Fox News movement, there are people who sides with Obama/Democrats, and there are the ones who sides with the "liberal media". I guess I'm in the last group. When my two major source outlet is saying the same thing, I'd take it to be true.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me eight times, am I a fucking idiot? I guess speeches are nice and it'll make people feel good for a while but despite the talk, nothing ever gets accomplished since the first speech done by Nixon in 1974, that's before I was born. United States had refused to tax oil and has the lowest cost per gallon despite the previous price hike. It creates a highly oil dependent culture where alternative energy source cannot compete. If the oil spill inspire and result in less dependent in oil, maybe not all is lost.
Obama has been caught pussyfooting on issues too many times. While I don't necessarily care about gays donating blood, I do agree with this guy in saying "President Obama, if I may — what do you possibly gain by trampling the civil rights of gay and lesbian Americans?...I'm sorry, but pandering to people who think you were born in Kenya by crapping all over a community of people who campaigned for you, knocked on doors, raised money for you, and you won't even allow them the dignity of donating blood? That's bullshit."
Don't get me wrong, I had drink enough Tang and chewed on enough saltines before and I have even donated enough blood to get little metal blood droplets to prove it. But if you do want to donate blood, you don't necessarily have to disclose your sexual orientation. If the blood bank is so full that they can afford to discriminate, then fuck them. If the patients who need blood are homophobic, I'd like to see them slash their own wrists and bleed the blood back out like Aryan James cutting off his gum implants in Oz.
This is how Rachel Maddow thinks Obama should have delivered his speech:
Honestly if Rachel Maddow runs in 2016, I will vote for her. She could be the first US female/lesbian president ever. Any Stewart/Maddow/Franklin combination would be swell even on an independent ticket, it's just a shame that we have to rely on comedians/newcasters to do something for the nation.

There's nothing better to turn your frown upside down than cute animals. The adorable boyfriend loves to look at adorable animals, maybe the adorableness can be absorbed from watching cute stuff?
Meet the sloths at Avarios del Caribe in Costa Rica, the world's only sloth orphanage.
A baby cat and a mirror are hours of fun.
So is a young axolotl and a pair of chopsticks.
A cat born with two faces and lived. I guess it's possible for an actual Cerberus to exist?
Beastiality amongst animals, meet the first Fleshlight ever.
Got this over at Erik's, thought I've got to share.
There are a few news items in these few days but everybody already reported on it and I don't really feel that strongly about them so there's really nothing much for me to say here.
Lady Gaga's latest video "Alejandro" is out, if you have had the patience to watch it, you'll notice that's it's like a homage to Madonna even though it didn't say so. I see "Vogue", "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", "Express Yourself", "Erotica", "Vogue". Not saying it's an homage makes it seem shady. I'm sure even if Lady Gaga tries to position herself as the next Madonna, Madge will not easily give it all up.
I don't get why at this point Lady Gaga is still producing a video, a video for a song that doesn't mean much and won't be a big hit. If people didn't buy her album at the past year, won't pick it up just because of another video. Maybe she's looking to sell a compilation of her music video. Any other artist will be working on a new album to solidify their status by now.

Elton John sung at Rush Limbaugh's fourth wedding in Palm Beach for the sum of $1 Million. There's no man viler than Rush Limbaugh and for Elton John to sing on his wedding makes Elton John quite the sellout but of course I didn't expect any more from Elton John. I have liked his music but I have never liked his voice or his attitude. The million dollar is rumored to go to his foundation to help people with HIV, but we wouldn't know if it is or how much will be skimmed off the top.

Watch the first two minutes and a half. Not that I'll claim that Stephen Colbert's data or the analysis is sound, but I had suspected that the aim of BP wasn't to plug up the oil leak but to find a way to not harm the mechanism of the oil drill and collect the oil somehow. And it seems like they have enlarged the opening of the broken pipe just so they can siphon the oil to a tanker. The oil is still leaking and it's not solving the problem at all, so if it's not to stop the leak what's the point?

The gay Malawi couple who wants to get married were arrested, tortured and sentenced to 14 years in prison just for being gay. After the incident got international news coverage, the Malawi government has pardoned and released the couple. Merely ten days after being pardoned one of them Steven Monjeza has dumped the other one Tiwonge Chimbalanga and opt to marry a woman. Steven has held a news conference saying:
"We were pardoned but I know the law can bounce back on us if we are not careful. Although I claimed that I still love Tiwo, I did not mean it. I have never had sex with him as was revealed in court. That is why the medical examination failed to establish any anal penetration. I was coerced into the whole thing"It is quite sad. Though unless we can smuggle them out of their country and guarantee asylum, there's nothing we can do. They have to live in their country constantly being ridiculed by their family, friends, neighbors and the whole country. While we can say that it's a pity for them to pretend to be straight for the rest of their lives, given where they live it might just be the best solution to everything. They don't have a choice. Being openly gay is a luxury.
For a country that is developing and creating a large discrepancy between the rich and the poor, crime rate is bound to increase. In a highly populated nation like China, it's hard for criminals to get away with crimes they have committed. Literally, everywhere you turn there are people. All the victim has to do is scream and instantly the thief is surrounded. I guess the good thing is that the Chinese has a strong sense of right and wrong and they are not afraid of confrontations.
The above one happened last Monday in Wenzhou, China. In the beginning of this clip, you can see two people sitting on a scooter snatched the purse of a female pedestrian. When they tried to ride off, the pedestrian screamed and alerted, apparently, everyone in the vicinity. Soon, the scooter is forced to retreat back by 20-30 locals. At this point one of the thief pulled out a 20-inch blade and start fighting the onlookers who were carrying various weapons themselves and throwing cardboard boxes. I'm quite sure the thieves got what's due to them.
This one happened in Guangdong. I guess one of the favorite ways to rob someone is to have a two men scooter/motorcycle team? I love how inventive the passerby biker was. To use his bike and throw it on the thieves' motorcycle. The thieves wouldn't have gotten caught if it wasn't for him. I guess the key to catching the thieves is for the victim to yell out for help.
This one is from Shanghai. It shows you that some people will bother to help. Even it can be violent, I never had a problem with street justice. I guess I have watched too much superhero comics. Though what bothers me is how some cities in China has camera equipped in every crossroads and its citizens are constantly being taped and monitored. I guess the lesson here is don't commit any crimes in China, you won't get away with it and you maybe even get beat down or run over before getting to court.
