Music Invasion: Frente!'s "Bizarre Love Triangle"

>> Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Well, Prop 8 didn't get overturned in California but it's not all tragic, people who got married before are still married and I think we got the sign we needed to commenced the marriage equality movement. People are getting on the street to protest it, celebrities are marching, people are occupying marriage bureaus demanding marriage licenses. Some friend even advocate to go to straight weddings and object. I believe it will be reaching its boiling point soon and maybe the white house will finally break through its silence and choose a side. An old friend traveled out of state to Connecticut to get gay married a few weeks ago even though their home state here in Pennsylvania doesn't recognize it, hopefully PA will get dominoed over soon. It's not like anyone will want to gay marry me anytime soon.

This cover was a big hit from Australian folk group Frente! in 1994. It seems like love is never easy, there are always things in the way. Seems like it'll be a rainy day.

Bizarre Love Triangle

Every time I think of you
I get a shock right through into a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine but it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
And it's what nobody knows
And every day my confusion grows

Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say

I feel fine and I feel good
I feel like I never should
Whenever I get this way, I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday
I'm not sure what this could mean
I don't think you're what you seem
I do admit to myself
That if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be

Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say
