Show Me How: 500 Things You Should Know

The boyfriend and I happened to walk in Urban Outfitters the other day and we saw a pretty cute book from Harper Collins called Show Me How: 500 Things You Should Know.
As you might expect from the title that Show Me How is a book that teach you to do cool stuff much like the Dangerous Book For Boys/Daring Book For Girls series, but what grabbed our attention is the detailed and very artful illustrations. The boyfriend and I are suckers when it comes to cute illustrations and this book are full of them.
The book is divided into chapters such as make, eat, drink, style, love, nest, grow, thrive, go, survive and wow. And it teaches you anything from folding perfect hospital corners, growing rock candies to treating a snake bite and spiking up a mohawk. The one that I find most helpful is to explain what house chores are required daily, weekly and quarterly when it comes to cleaning. Hell, I might even do it.
The book is the size of a yellow page phonebook and sometimes I wish that they'd explain some stuff further with more words and not just pictures but it's a very nice book and the illustrations are drawn beautifully, stylized with great colors. The tasks are cool and interesting. It's sold for $24.95 but I got it from Amazon half-priced. If it was a bit smaller it would have made a great coffee table book, but check it out at a bookstore if you have time.
